The Vermont Lottery Commission reports record breaking profits of $26,300,000 for Fiscal Year 2016. Lottery profits were up by $3.6 million over last year, and over $2.6 million higher than our prior record.
Megaplier option reaps an extra $4 Million
It’s amazing what a difference an extra dollar can make especially when playing the Lottery. Reg Abare decided to add the Megaplier for an extra buck when he bought his regular Mega Millions ticket on August 16. That Megaplier option turned a $1 million second prize into $5 million.
Barre store sells winning ticket
Vermont Lottery officials announced today that there was a $5 million winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Vermont in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing. The winning prize ticket was sold at Brookside Country Store located in Barre.
If won, Friday’s estimated jackpot would be the seventh largest American lottery jackpot in history.
The July 4th holiday may be over, but the fireworks continue with Mega Millions! No ticket matched all six numbers drawn Tuesday night – 29, 46, 53, 64 and 73, plus the Mega Ball 10, so a whopping $508 million ($357 million cash) estimated jackpot will be offered on Friday, July 8.
